CAS Degree Expo for New Students

The College of Arts and Sciences’ “Academic Degree Expo” takes place on Wednesday, June 22, 2005, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in the Hall of Governors.  The Degree Expo will feature information about the College’s 10 undergraduate and 7 graduate programs, as well as the University’s Student Services Program.  We have invited all CAS applicants who have inquired about programs in the College, but have not matriculated as of the Spring/Summer trimester.  Please encourage any potential students to attend the Degree Expo.

 On July 1, 2005, Governors State University moves to a traditional university rank system.  The number of competitive students we are able to attract, to study with our faculty in our degree programs, is more important than ever.  The Degree Expo marks part of our strategy to position us as the dominant liberal arts and science set of programs in the region, staffed by the region’s most premier faculty.  We will dominate the region by the quality of our faculty, academic programs and the students we graduate. 

This will be a great opportunity for prospective students to interact informally with faculty and staff from the College.  A cook out, gifts and evening of fun are part of the program.  Please notify the CAS Dean’s Office at 708 534-4101, if you plan to attend.
