You can only re-take the examination once. It is not in your best interest to sit for the examination prior to completing your core courses. The test covers all required EDAD courses except Research. If you have not completed all your required courses, you will be at a disadvantage and probably will not pass. Students must pass both the objective and essay section of the test in order to PASS. Student who do not pass may take the test again on the next testing date. The Comprehensive Examination assesses your content knowledge. It is designed to measure your understanding of educational theory. The Illinois Type 75 test is more heavily weighted on our ability to apply theory to practice.
