Veterans Admissions Process

For your convenience, you can complete an application online for the majority of our programs. First Year Undergraduate, Transfer and Graduate applications can be completed online.

Complete the online application and mail or fax a copy of your military ID or form DD214 to:

: the application fee for veterans and service members is waived. This fee waiver does not apply to the following programs:

Undergraduate

• RN to BSN Nursing Program

Masters

• Communication Disorders
• Health Administration

• Occupational Therapy

Doctorate

• Nursing Practice
• Physical Therapy

After completing the application process, please follow these steps to prepare for course registration:

• Complete the online directed self-placement (undergraduate only).
• Contact your chosen degree program to arrange an initial appointment with an advisor.
• Check the academic catalog and academic calendar for registration dates and deadlines.
• Log into your MyGSU portal to select courses, register and view your progress report.

Our School of Extended Learning provides assistance to active duty military in the form of distance learning courses. Service members have the opportunity to complete a bachelor’s degree by combining their military academic credit with previously completed college credit.

To have your military transcript sent to GSU, follow the links below. All transcripts will be forwarded directly to the office of the Coordinator for Veterans and Military Personnel.

After your application has been processed, you will receive a letter from the Office of Admission with your admission decision.
